The sixth rally in support of the unfairly dismissed workers at Obsidian and Echo Piercing Studios takes place at 3pm Sunday 5th July at Obsidian Piercing Studio, 37 Church Lane, Belfast.
Five young workers were sacked over two months ago on the 30th of April by Pamela Wilson, with the assistance of union busting Peninsula HR, for unionising with Organise! IWA and winning their health and safety dispute. Union accompaniment to the disciplinaries was denied at the last moment and requests for appeals, submitted in line with the company’s proceedure and Labour Relations Agency guidance, were ignored.
Despite ongoing hardship the sacked workers and their union remain resolute and determined in their struggle. They deserve and need your support. Solidarity is strength.
