The Witch and Don Cristóbal

This play shows the Spanish system´s structural violence represented in this case by four different powers and the injustice that their existence create. These are the catholic church, the judicial power, the repressive system and private property. Our protagonist, the witch, will fight for her freedom throughout the story facing these powers making use of her self-defence. Will she be able to overcome them?

While performing this play in Spain, the two puppeteers, who are close to or members of the Anarchist union CNT, were arrested and imprisoned for five days. Once released they were facing charges for glorifying terrorism and incitement to hatred, which could lead to 2 to 7 years of prison. Meanwhile they have been completely absolved.

Now they are doing a tour through Central Europe, including Vienna, where everyone is cordially invited!

The play is in Spanish and Esperanto; knowledge of languages is not required for understanding the plot.
